charles: Yeah, I thought Eddings would be like Feist, but it was boring and predictable. But when I learned of Polgara I instantly thought of Chelsea as well. Though I think the white streak is in a few supernatural stories.02/07/10 11:56 AM
Eclectic Kitty: I wouldn't waste your time with Eddings unless you are a speed reader. His books are great spans of boredom, dotted with an interesting conversation from time to time from the secondary characters. It was not until the 1950s that the name “Jamie” became associated with being a female name. In the 1970s, somewhat due to Jaime Sommers, the Bionic Woman, the name “Jamie” or “Jaime” became more closely associated as a female name.
