Nav: Good morning everyone.
Nav: test test
Nav: Anyone online?
Support: good morning nav
Support: there are 8 viewers online at the moment
Nav: Hello Support =)
TLABC: good morning all! we will start in about 5 minutes
Naz Chow: good morning everyone
Nav: Hello Naz
Naz Chow: Hi Nav: Where do you work?
David Brooks: Good morning from Gabriola :)
Naz Chow: I work out of a small community OT private practice in Richmond. I miss being at the conference in person but this year I wasn't able to be there in person so it's my first time doing a webcast.
Naz Chow: So far webcast method has been excellent even though I was quite ambivalent to try it. What do the other viewers think of this method of education delivery?
Support: Speaking for myself I love it!
Stephen Bray: I agree, specifically for those who would otherwise have to fly in, this makes sense as a very good option.
Ana: I'm enjoying the webcast also, though I also miss being there in person.
Ana: Good morning!
Stephen Bray: Last weekend I was in Phoenix, got the same amount of information yet spent virtually two days travelling and got home exhausted!
Naz Chow: I miss the discussions around some of the topics. Yesterday's discussion on cannibis use was fascinating for me as a clinician who works with individuals who are not supported with this treatment.
Stephen Bray: I think its ideal for those who have to fly in - Steve B
Naz Chow: Anyways, I'll shut up now that it's starting.
Naz Chow: Dr. Wiseman: Within your clinic what percentage of patients with resistive depression who have been treated with TMS have had to come back, and how many 4 week courses have they had? How far apart?
Naz Chow: Erin please pass on during question period. Thanks
Naz Chow: Dr. Wiseman what is the cost of one course of treatment for 4 weeks? Has it been covered by any Long Term Disability Insurance companies?
Naz Chow: Erin: Sorry: Please ignore my firs question, but pass on my second question please.
TLABC: you bet Naz
Naz Chow: Sorry again - vice versa. He answered the question about costs, just need to know about the very first question regarding repeat treatments for clients with resistive depression.
Naz Chow: Dr. Wiseman: Within your clinic what percentage of patients with resistive depression who have been treated with TMS have had to come back, and how many 4 week courses have they had? How far apart?
TLABC: got it
TLABC: back at 11:15
NIXON WENGER..: sound is on the mics... :)
Naz Chow: Will the PRRD look at the dual diagnosis issues on WSBC clients who have chronic pain and mental health issues. Sometimes dealing with WSBC officers results in Mental Health issues for clients
Naz Chow: Please send this along to speaker.
Dr. Stephen Bray: Very encouraging to see review of policy. It would be interesting, as a taxpayer and potential payers, to know income annually made by employers to WorkSafe BC and the payments made to those injured
Naz Chow: These workers are often in too much pain to deal with the WCAT appeal process and review division.
Dr. Stephen Bray: My question is based primarily on the Governments ability to improve the system provided
Naz Chow: It would be useful for PRRD to engage Pain BC if they don't know who to talk to. There are numerous experts involved through that avenue that know this area of practice.
Dr. Stephen Bray: Extremely insightful. AS someone who worked in Canada, then the UK for a decade or so and return to BC, I have seen the NHS improve and the BC Healthcare regress. Do you foresee improvement?
TLABC: thank you for logging on! By now you should have received the survey - please help us out by giving us your feedback!
Dr. Stephen Bray: Will do - very good indeed
Naz Chow: Thank you so much for your organization Erin and planning committee. Excellent conference
